COMPETITION

 

This is a design competition for for an integrated residential care and support facility for children and youth in need.

We desire to create a place where the children can grow up in the woods, to enjoy and embrace the natural landscape, learning about love and acceptance through observing and engaging with nature and its wonders.

​

We create sprawling clusters of houses in the midst of the woods, seemingly arranged haphazardly but they are arranged by the desire of keeping every big tree where possible, These clusters of houses enjoy good cross ventilation, they are orientated in the north-south direction, with varying sizes of courtyards and greens sprinkled among the clusters.
